The maker of 1800 Tequila has recalled certain 1.75 liter bottles due to the risk of glass particles in the bottle.

Consumers should not drink the recalled products or allow others to drink it. Refunds are available through the manufacturer by calling (866) 795-8805 or by sending an email to info@1800tequila.com.

Liquor stores should pull the products off store shelves and return them to their broker or wholesaler, the ABLE Commission said Monday.

Agavera Camichines, S.A. de C.V., which owns the 1800 Tequila brand, announced the voluntary, nationwide recall last week.

Affected products include 1800 Tequila 1.75 liter Silver, Reposado and Coconut.

All other sizes of 1800 Tequila are not impacted; neither are 1800 Tequila Anejo, Select Silver and 1800 Ultimate Margarita.

The glass stoppers of affected bottles were damaged during transportation and there is a risk of small particles of glass in the bottle, posing a health risk, the manufacturer said.

No injuries have been reported. For a list of lot codes found on recalled bottles of the tequila, visit www.1800tequila.com.
