Regarding “Archery students aim for the mark” (News, Feb. 15): I find it curious that Oklahoma schools sponsor the Oklahoma Archery in The Schools program. After all, the bow and arrow is the most successful assault weapon of all time. Wasn't it the primary assault weapon of all the armies of the world for approximately 2,000 years? Should our children be proficient in a weapons system that, throughout history, may have killed more people than firearms?
