Freestyle Cage Fighting will be at the State Fair Speedway on Saturday at the Oklahoma State Fair. FCF has grown tremendously in the last year, and one of its favorite spots has been in Shawnee.

For the first time ever, a father and son will fight on the same card. Firefighter Scott Landis will make his pro debut while son, Garrick Landis, also will compete. Garrick is 1-1.

The two bouts are part of an 11-fight card. For more information, call (800) 511-1552. General admission is $18. Box seats are $25. Ringside reserved seats are $35. VIP reserved seats are $50.

•C3 returns to Lucky Star: After trips to Newkirk and the Carolinas, the Norman-based C3 Fights promotion is returning to Lucky Star Casino in Concho.

The 10-bout card is Sept. 19 and will feature a couple of local favorites. C3 Fights champions Brandon Shelton and Wayne Cole will defend their respective titles.

Shelton, the champion at 145 pounds, is 18-2. Cole, the champ at 205 pounds, is 12-8.

Tickets are available at Lucky Star, tickets.com, participating Homeland stores or by phone at (800) 511-1552. The weigh-in will be 8 p.m. Thursday at Gilmore's Pub in El Reno.

•Cox card good to go: Following some early confusion, the Stars and Stripes boxing card at the Cox Convention Center's Great Hall will take place Sept. 20.

The Cox business offices had no record of a card scheduled, but promoter Anthony McGhee cleared up the confusion.

"Kid” Carson Jones will fight Michi Munoz in the main event. Jones, an Oklahoma City native, is 15-6. This is the first time McGhee will promote boxing, but he has had success promoting concerts. Premium tickets are $45. Reserved tickets are $35. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
