Boy killed in hit-and-run in Tahlequah

TAHLEQUAH -- A boy died early Sunday after being struck by an unknown vehicle in Tahlequah, Tahlequah Police Chief Nate King said.

King said two boys were walking west in the eastbound lane on Oklahoma 51 between West Fourth Street and Stick Ross Mountain Road at about 4 a.m. when they were struck.

King said one of the boys died at 5:10 a.m. The other boy has been treated and stabilized at an area hospital.
