Boy who shot grandmother in custody on shooting with intent to kill complaint

An 11-year-old boy who police say shot his grandmother was booked into a juvenile detention center Tuesday on a shooting with intent to kill complaint.

The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex in the 7900 block of South Sheridan Avenue, police said.

Investigators said the boy and his grandmother, Annie Mougell, had been arguing about a discipline report he received from school, Officer Jill Roberson said.
