Evan Anderson had four points at halftime and his Dale Pirates were trailing Bethel 28-23, but Anderson caught fire from the start of the third quarter. The 6-foot-5 senior scored 10 quick points on his way to 22 for the night to get Dale back on top for its 11th straight victory.
“The first half, we didn't do a very good job of crashing the boards, so the second half, that's what we did,” said Anderson, who had eight rebounds. “We usually seem to come out flat, so coach gets us in the locker room, tells us what to do and we come out and do it.”
Bethel made four 3-pointers in the first quarter to build its lead, but the shooting cooled off in the second half. Trevor Stark had 14 points and Garret Fitzgerald had 13 for the Wildcats.
Dale, ranked fifth in Class 2A, got 13 points and seven assists from Jace Wilkins and 12 points from Caleb Banks in knocking off its biggest rival.
“This is like our OU-OSU,” Edmonson said. “These kids go to church together, hang out together, so that adds a little bit to it.
“We play a tough schedule, and just about every night, we have to show up and play. We've had to come from behind several nights this season, and I really give it up to our kids for fighting like that.”

Carlbe Ervin scored 26 points, and Edmond North was able to hold off a strong Putnam City North rally for an 82-80 victory.
