Bradford’s draft stock rising?
The "will he or won’t he?” speculation surrounding OU quarterback Sam Bradford and the NFL Draft will continue for a few more weeks.

Multimedia

Bradford maintains a commitment to the Sooners’ preparation for the BCS title game showdown with Florida and has sidestepped all attempts at gauging his intentions for 2009.

Still, ESPN and Scouts Inc. analyst Todd McShay’s latest draft projections suggest Bradford’s stock is at an all-time high: No. 1.

That was McShay’s projection Monday, when the latest top 10 scrolled across on ESPN. Also of interest: Gerald McCoy at No. 9.

GATORS NAME COORDINATOR
Florida coach Urban Meyer made a move for continuity with the Gators offense, naming Steve Addazio as new offensive coordinator.

Addazio will replace Dan Mullen, who will assume the head coaching job at Mississippi State after the bowl game. Mullen is still expected to call plays when the Gators and Sooners meet.

"Steve has played a key role in our offense in his time at Florida,” Meyer said.

"We will run the same type of offense. We will continue to put the ball in the hands of our best players, spread the field and try to take advantage of the best matchups.”

Addazio has worked with Meyer six years, two at Notre Dame and the past four at Florida.

FAMILIAR GROUND
Florida owns a home state, if not home field advantage for the BCS title game, with the game set for Miami.

For several Gators, there will even be a familiar feel about Dolphin Stadium.

Florida counts 13 players who have won high school state championships at Dolphin Stadium. Among them, nine played in the 2006 Class 5A title game pitting Lakeland and St. Thomas Aquinas, which turned out to be a two-overtime classic won by Lakeland.

yeah, even though it isn't fair to play the national championship game in another team's backyard (LSU - Sugar; Florida - Miami), we'll just have to go whup em anyway...tv announcers and talking heads never seem to bring this up, even though there will probably be 55,000 florida fans to our 20,000 fans...

Bruce must be a tool also since he is complaining about people complaining.

BTW, this is starting to feel like the Penn State game in 87. I spent a week in Miami listening to those idiots spew how great they were up until the 4th quarter. They stopped their "We are - Penn St" cheer when we started the "We are - National Champs" cheer!

From Wikipedia. It says that they usually only play the chorus. "On, brave old Flor-i-da, just keep on marching on your way!…
On, brave old Flor-i-da, and we will cheer you on your play! Rah! Rah! Rah!…
And as you march a-long, we'll sing our victory song anew…
With all your might Go on and Fight Gators Fight for Dixie's rightly proud of you…

(Chorus)
So give a cheer for the Orange and Blue, Waving for-ev-er, forever…
Pride of old Flor-i-da, May she droop nev-er…
We'll sing a song for the flag to-day, Cheer for the team at play! On to the goal we'll fight our way for Flor-i-da."

Having been at the 2000 NCGame when the stadium was 3/4ths Florida State fans, I believe this year will be the same and Florida fans will take up most of the stadium. The nice thing in 2000 was that we (the OU fans) took over the Florida fight song and put in our own OKLAHOMA to it and drowned them out!! Let's do it again! Does anyone know the Florida fight song tune?

The people that constantly get on here and complain about the Oklahoman just might be the biggest tools that the internet has ever seen.

Richard, providing us insight on other Sooner players is just too much work. We have two backs over 1,000, one receiver over 1,000 and one tight end near it. But we can only speculate on Bradford's future. Then say the obvious "he's concentrating on the Championship game.

mcshay hate ou and wants to see the best offensive player and defensive player leave. stoop has said that he'll tell a player to go if he's top 10. mcshay gives a top 10 to both and players. that might weigh on the end result. probably not, but you know us sooner fans. ready to sniff out a conspiracy. boomer sooner.
Thomas , Tulsa - Dec 30, 2008 at 11:09 am
thank you richard. i was also dissappointed to see the newest "OU notebook" and find no new information on the Sooners. By the way, the Razorbacks here in Arkansas are giving themselves a chance tonight against the Sooners. Let's not have a let down during the holiday break. Get the lead and keep it. Boomer Sooner!

I thought this article was titled "OU Notebook"? Why all the useless info about Florida? This paper has said nothing about when and where OU will do its bowl practice. Has said nothing about what colors OU will wear. I do not give a gator's behind about any their high school exploits. And quit asking Bradford about next year, that is something we can talk about, but his immediate future should be his focus.
