Brandon Weeden aiming for Dallas Cowboys backup job, with or without Kyle Orton Published: July 9, 2014

Kyle Orton still is a no-show for the Dallas Cowboys, a situation that Brandon Weeeden says doesn't matter to him.

The former Oklahoma State quarterback says nothing has changed for him this offseason when it comes to preparation. That's even with Orton becoming a story himself as the expected No. 2 quarterback has been missing in action and considering retirement this offseason.

"I’m going to go about my business the same way regardless. I haven’t met Kyle, so I can’t really speak on it, but whatever he decides to do – it’s kind of out of my control," Weeden said Saturday at the Nike Football Festival, held at Valley Ranch. goes into further detail about Weeden and how he's gotten comfortable with the Cowboys in pursuit of the backup quarterback spot behind Tony Romo.
