Breaking down Sam Houston State
Location: Huntsville, Texas

Enrollment: 15,935

Mascot: Bearkats

Conference: Southland (Division I-AA)

Record: 2-1

Last game: Lost 41-38 to North Dakota State on Sept. 15. Last week was a bye week for Bearkats.

Best players: QB Rhett Bomar passed for 819 yards in first three games. DB Bryan Richmond leads the Bearkats in tackles with 34.

Why they could win: The Bearkats have an explosive offense and are capable of putting a lot of points on the board.

Why they could lose: A I-AA team, Sam Houston State does not have the same caliber of athlete as Oklahoma State.

Noteworthy: Starting quarterback is former Sooner Rhett Bomar. Bomar was dismissed from OU for receiving payment for non-work at a Norman car dealership.
