MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers have called up infielder Irving Falu from Triple-A Nashville.

Nelson worked 5 2-3 scoreless innings against the Marlins in Miami, striking out six. He gave up five hits and walked three in his 2014 debut.

A 30-year-old utility infielder from Puerto Rico, Falu appeared in 24 games for the Kansas City Royals in 2012, hitting .341 with six doubles and seven RBIs. Falu was hitting .288 in 38 games in Nashville with one home run, eight RBIs and seven stolen bases before his call-up Monday.
