Not sure I get the name switch, but give Bob and Norm Bekoff credit – they gave live music a shot at the Bricktown Music Hall. After a year-long attempt at bringing life to the space that was once home to the legendary O’Brien’s, the Bekoffs are renaming their venue “BMH,” which they envision becoming Bricktown’s neighborhood bar.
Live music will still be in the rotation, along with other entertainment including karaoke and live comedy shows. Comedian Elliott Threatt will debut Wednesday Comedy nights, with doors opening at 8 p.m. and shows starting at 9 p.m. The revamped venue includes electronic darts, pinball, two pool tables and Touch Tune Juke box with photo booth.
The alleyway balcony, never really used, has also been transformed with tables and light strings. The bar, open Tuesdays through Saturdays, will also include pizza from adjoining Knuck’s Wheel House.
