Bridge Creek coach expects 20 boards from Ryan Spangler

At quarterback, Spangler passed for more than 3,100 yards with 33 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Such passing numbers, along with his solid 6-foot-7 frame, have gained him some NCAA Division I recruiting attention in football. Spangler said he prefers the hardwood, where he’s also starting to get D-I offers.

"He’s a very versatile 6-7 player, with the ability to shoot from the outside, and he handles the ball extremely well for a player his size,” Sanders said. "He can basically play all five positions for us.”

The Bobcats dropped their first three games, but they have won 14 of 17 since, taking some time to get going after football.

"We started out slow,” Spangler said. "We’re finally playing together and starting to win.”
