BRIEF: Playoffs continue to be unpredictable

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a first-round NBA playoff series laced with as much drama as is this year’s.

Most of the series are knotted at 1-1, including both No. 1 vs. 8 meetings, after two games.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be battling tonight to avoid going down a game in their showdown with the upstart, and perhaps under-rated, Memphis Grizzlies.

The Thunder already have lost homecourt advantage, a situation they’ll try valiantly tonight to remedy.

But, this isn’t the only surprising series.

The West’s top-seeded San Antonio Spurs and East’s No. 1 seed Indiana Pacers both are going to have to win on the road in order to advance.
