Bristow man dies in Creek County crash

About 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Calvin D. Sherwood, 51, of Bristow, died Wednesday morning in a crash with a tractor-trailer in Creek County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

A Bristow man died in a wreck Wednesday morning with a tractor-trailer, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

About 11:15 a.m., Calvin D. Sherwood, 51, was driving west on State Highway 66 in Creek County when he was involved in a wreck with the eastbound rig, according to a patrol report. The events of the crash are still under investigation.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Jason D. Cagle, 40, of Bartlesville, was taken to a Tulsa hospital and stabilized, troopers said.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
