Britons buy Tulsa-based Flow-Quip

TULSA — A British company is taking control of Tulsa valve manufacturer Flow-Quip Inc., buying the company out of local and private hands.

Flow-Quip owner and President Milton Fore reached an $8 million agreement Friday with Rotork PLC, which also makes valves and actuators for the energy and water industries.

"We’ve built our manufacturing group up to a point that it has become attractive to (Rotork) and they came in and made an offer,” said Fore.
