A Chandler teenager now holds the title of world champion archer.
Will Gibson, a freshman at Chandler High School, captured the male youth freestyle division in the World Archery Festival last month in Las Vegas.
Competing against other elite archers his age, Gibson won the tournament by one point.
“It came down to the last arrow,” Gibson said. “I had to shoot a 10 to win.”
