Burned race car driver is 12-year-old girl

A young race car driver severely burned Saturday night in a crash on an Oklahoma City-area track remains in critical condition this morning in a Texas burn center.

The victim, identified as Harli White, 12, of Lindsay, was taken to OU Medical Center after the accident at I-44 Speedway on the southwest side of the city, officials said.

She suffered burns to her back, arms, legs and neck, according to fire officials who were called to the scene.

White was transferred to a burn center in Galveston.
