Annual fly-in to Washington helps State Chamber connect

Q: What was the State Chamber's fly-in this week?

A: The State Chamber annually invites business leaders from across the state to join them on a trip to Washington, D.C. While there, they meet with congressional and other federal leaders in an effort to continue an open dialogue about pro-business, economic development issues and legislation pending before Congress.

Q: You were there Monday and Tuesday. Who went?

A: More than 130 business leaders from across the state representing over 50 companies, including the energy, aerospace, agriculture and technology industries, among others. Many chambers of commerce, universities, trade associations and cities and municipalities were also represented within the group.
