Former Verdigris standout Rotnei Clarke told CNNSI.com that his perspective was changed by his scary injury in Butler's Jan. 12 game against Dayton.

Clarke, who is Oklahoma high school basketball's all-time scoring leader, hit the padded support under the goal headfirst after a hard foul from a Dayton player. He escaped with just a severely sprained neck, but says the injury reminded him of what matters most to him.
