Owner Kevin George has an obvious stake in the name, but George is also the name of chef Josh Valentine’s father, who succumbed to cancer in 2010 and continues to be an inspiration to the recent “Top Chef” contestant. The real estate transaction dragged a little longer than Kevin wanted, which held up remodeling work. All hurdles have now been cleared, and work to refurbish the iconic space is under way. Josh has been keeping his culinary fangs sharp doing special events like OK Chefs Relief and a two-night guest chef gig at Stella Modern Italian.
Work continues on the space, which will have a capacity of about 200. The team hopes to reintroduce diners to one of the coolest views in the city by end of fall. I will have plenty more as details develop.
