Vendors who want to do business outside at the Myriad Botanical Gardens will have to wait at least another two weeks for a zoning change after the Oklahoma City Board of Adjustment canceled its meeting Thursday due to a lack of a quorum.
The board is considering a zoning variance, requested by the Myriad Gardens Foundation, to get around an ordinance that restricts temporary outdoor sales displays in the park.
According to a city memo, the change would make possible everything from farmers markets to vendors selling things like bottled water and ice cream or hot chocolate, to beer and wine sales at certain special events. The next Board of Adjustment meeting is set for Nov. 1.
