RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Hurricanes have recalled Anton Khudobin from their AHL affiliate in Charlotte.

The Hurricanes announced the move Friday, about six hours before their home game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Khudobin went 1-1 with a 3.03 goals-against average during a two-game conditioning assignment in Charlotte.

He was placed on injured reserve Oct. 14 with an unspecified lower-body injury. He was hurt during a 5-3 loss to Phoenix one day earlier when he skated away from the net to play the puck.

Khudobin signed a one-year deal worth $800,000 in July to back up starter Cam Ward. While Khudobin was out, Justin Peters went 5-7 with a 3.10 GAA.
