Capitol Hill High School teacher is suspended following rape allegations in Oklahoma City

A Capitol Hill High School teacher was suspended after a juvenile reported being sexually assaulted near the school in Oklahoma City. The juvenile reported having been sexually assaulted near SW 15 and South Robinson Avenue, about two miles north of the school, police said.

A Capitol Hill High School teacher was suspended after a juvenile reported being sexually assaulted near the school.

Oklahoma City police responded Thursday to a report alleging rape involving a teacher at the school. The juvenile reported having been sexually assaulted near SW 15 and South Robinson Avenue, about two miles north of the school, police said.

The teacher was removed from the classroom and is being suspended pending the results of the investigation, district officials said.

“The Oklahoma City Public School District responded quickly when we were made aware of an alleged incident involving a teacher at Capitol Hill High School,” said interim Superintendent Dave Lopez. “Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of the students at Capitol Hill.

The teacher hadn't been arrested Friday, police said. The teacher's name was not released.
