VALHALLA, N.Y. (AP) — Train service on Metro-North's Harlem line is running with 10 minute to 15 minute delays after a car went onto the tracks and caught on fire.

Metro-North spokesman Aaron Donovan says it happened around 6:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Street crossing in Valhalla, about 30 miles north of New York City.

He says the car caught on fire, and there was some damage to the electrified third rail. The exact circumstances of how the car got on the tracks were unclear.

Donovan says no trains were in the vicinity at the time, and no one was injured.

Donovan says authorities have doused the flames and are working to remove the car.

Trains are running on one track.
