CARD Act helps consumers, but credit card companies look elsewhere for profits
While the Credit CARD Act of 2009 , now completely in force, has created benefits for consumers, some challenges remain, consumer advocates say.
Research by the Pew Health Group's Safe Credit Cards Project shows many of the "unfair or deceptive" practices by major credit card issuers have disappeared.
However, project director Nick Bourke said at least a couple of issues remain unresolved.
