A toddler who was inside a vehicle stolen at gunpoint in Spencer late Friday is safe and back in her parents' custody.

Taleah Hill, 2, was located about 7:30 a.m. after residents on the 1400 block of Garland Place in northeast Oklahoma City woke up to find her sitting in front porch chair.

An Amber Alert was issued after Hill's grandmother reported her missing from a vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Garland Drive just before 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Spencer Police Chief Virgil Green said a man wearing a blue bandanna and carrying a gun forced her grandmother into a bathroom at her home and then took her sport utility vehicle.

The grandmother had just returned from shopping and was about to make a return trip to the vehicle when the was approached by the man, Green said.

“She said, ‘I don't have any money, my purse is in the car, please don't harm me,' and that subject proceeded to tell her to go into the bathroom inside the home and she did,” Green said. “About two to three minutes later she went out a back window and went around and noticed the SUV gone with the grandbaby inside the car.” has disabled the comments for this article.
