The Titans' running back initially planned to announce after his senior season but decided to make a decision sooner after the recruiting process began to get tiresome.

Oku will decide between Louisville, Michigan, Nebraska and Tennessee. The senior holds several offers, including Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but trimmed his list to four schools last week by eliminating Florida State.

"The recruiting game is a business, and you have to treat it like a business,” said Oku, who ran for 100 yards and one touchdown in Carl Albert's 40-7 loss to Tulsa Washington last Friday. "You can't fool around when you're talking about were you'll spend the next four years of your life.”

The 5-10, 186-pounder is the No. 36 player in the nation according to Scout.com, the No. 90 player on the Rivals Top 100 and the No. 121 player on the ESPN 150. Oku had 182 carries for 1,628 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior.

lmao...funny how when OU has no chance to get the #36 player they say...who cares? NOT EVERYONE wants to go to OU...obvious isn't it Lemmings?

I just looked him up on Scout.com. They report he currently has a 2.4 GPA and a 15 ACT. OU requires a 3.0 or greater GPA or a 24 ACT...Sounds like he needs to buckle down on his academics rather than his work on the field.

Richard, you and I rarely, if ever, see eye to eye but this time I think your post is dead-on. Well done.

Man, who is this Oku fellow and who cares where he's going? What's the big deal? There are hundreds of OKC-area footballers who are going to get scholarships...what's the big deal about this guy? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

And in other news, another Oklahoma High Schooler is making a decision of where she will be going to college as well. She has scholarship offers from Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Yale, West Point, The US Naval Academy, Texas, Michigan, Georgia Tech, as well as Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. She has narrowed her choices to Stanford and MIT. Newsok.com will NOT be covering her live announcement at noon on Wednesday, September, 17th.
