Carrie Underwood donates musical instruments to hometown Checotah schools

Today, country music superstarlet Carrie Underwood gave her hometown school district a gift that will change lives.

It's a gift of music -- to the tune of $117,000 in musical instruments – that she's donating to the three music programs at three Checotah schools.

From the auditorium stage in the small high school from which she graduated, Underwood's fifth-grade music teacher Kathy Cooper joined her and hundreds of young Checotah music students to make the announcement on Friday morning.
