Carrie Underwood's “Blown Away Tour” sweeps into Oklahoma City Thursday night with a show at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

To ensure her third headlining tour lives up to its lofty name, the Checotah native and her team have prepared a rock star moment, a digital duet with one of her closest pals and a series of stunning costumes to enhance her hit parade country chart-toppers.

“I love this album, and I think it's my best album to date,” said Underwood, who is touring in support of her 2012 album, “Blown Away,” which has been certified platinum.

“I feel the same way about the tour. I feel like in every way we've all really stepped it up and made something that's really fun. It's fun for me to go on tour and sing those songs every night.”

Over the course of her concerts, Underwood performs a virtual duet with her buddy Brad Paisley, who croons his part of their smash “Remind Me” via video, and covers Aerosmith, for whom she recently recorded a duet with frontman Steven Tyler for the band's upcoming album “Music From Another Dimension.”

“I don't really think I knew what an influence he had on me musically until I like started getting to know him. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I know all these songs; yeah, I do have all these albums.' I guess I've been listening to him since birth,” she said, laughing.

Known for her keen fashion sense as well as her powerhouse voice, Underwood, 29, also uses the quick-change skills she has honed over the years during her “Blown Away Tour” dates.
