Carrying firearms could curtail civil discussion

Pending gun laws have me concerned. I support the constitutional right to bear arms and I support the Make My Day ruling that gives us the right to shoot someone who invades a home with the intent to rob or cause bodily injury. I'm having trouble, however, with a law that allows folks to carry firearms in holsters, purses or fanny packs. This could curtail civil discussions like “Let's talk it over” and replace it with “Let's settle it right here and now.” That's not a healthy alternative.

The days of Wyatt Earp and the OK Corral are gone. Let's not replace it with a confrontation in the parking lot of a Bricktown nightclub.
