NORMAN — The United Way of Norman's annual Celebrity Sing fundraising event Friday raised more than $21,600.

Show proceeds and the sale of some big-ticket auction items raised thousands, United Way officials said.

More than 240 people attended Celebrity Sing at the Kerr McGee Courtside Club at the Lloyd Noble Arena. Community leaders, city employees and business people were part of the musical showcase.
