Despite being hot and thirsty, the estimated 40,000 people who packed into the Brady Arts District for the second Center of the Universe Festival this weekend had organizers already looking at how to keep the momentum going. Approximately 18,000 people came downtown for the first day of the Center of the Universe Festival on Friday, officials said. Official numbers for Saturday weren’t available, but organizers estimated between 18,000 and 20,000 would pass through the gates.
