Central Arkansas (0-0) at Texas Tech (0-0), 6 p.m. CT Saturday (FOX)

Line: None.

Series Record: First meeting.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb wants to show how much he's matured in the offseason after he was MVP in Holiday Bowl win over Arizona State. Central Arkansas coach Steve Campbell makes debut after leaving Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College following 10-year stint that included sharing a national junior college title with Butler Community College in 2007.

KEY MATCHUP

Texas Tech's receivers vs. Central Arkansas secondary. The Red Raiders may have lost Jace Amaro and Eric Ward but their receiving corps is faster this year. Look for Texas Tech WRs Jakeem Grant and Bradley Marquez to challenge Bears DBs Dillion Winfrey and Marvin Mitchell.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Texas Tech: QB Davis Webb finished last season with 2,718 yards, 20 TDs and nine interceptions. The Red Raiders have stressed cutting down on turnovers after 18 interceptions last year, including nine from Baker Mayfield before an offseason transfer to Oklahoma. Webb says he's making smarter reads.

Central Arkansas: WRs Desmond Smith and Dezmin Lewis are the top returning receivers. Smith caught 43 passes for 502 yards and three TDs, while Lewis caught 50 passes for 721 yards and seven TDs.
