Some quick observations: It’s amazing to think how much undeveloped land remained left over from the clear-cutting of the Urban Renewal Era even after the original Metropolitan Area Projects were completed. The heyday of the demolition spree was 1969 through 1978. Only this past year can we truly say that after 40 years. those scars have healed.
