The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber’s board of directors voted today to proceed with plans to build a four-story headquarters at NW 4 and Broadway.

The building, designed by Frankfurt Short Bruza, would allow the chamber to reunite with the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau.

“We want to build more than just an office building,” said Larry Nichols, chamber chairman and chief executive officer of Devon Energy Corp. “The chamber is often the first place a new company comes when they look at investing in Oklahoma City, and the Convention and Visitors Bureau welcomes tourists from all over the world. The new chamber building will truly be a front door to our community, a way to make a lasting first impression of this dynamic and vibrant city.”

The Chamber’s building committee has been working for more than a year to develop the plans, a project prompted by a need for more space, and a desire to bring the chamber and visitors bureau together again under one roof. View the map of the new location
