There is a 30 percent chance of rain Tuesday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Skies will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 80s. The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 87. South wind 3 to 7 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 72. South wind around 7 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 90. South, southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 12 to 17 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 73. South wind around 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny with a high near 90. South, southwest wind 13 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Thursday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely mainly after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 1 p.m. Partly sunny with a high near 78.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 61.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 60.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 83.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 63.
