Chance for showers, thunderstorms continues Sunday

More rain could be on the way for the Oklahoma City area, the National Weather Service reports.

Don't put the umbrella away just yet.

The National Weather Service reports a 40 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms Sunday in the Oklahoma City area.

Temperatures in the low-90s are predicted through Saturday.

Here's a look at the forecast:

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. South wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind becoming northeast 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 69. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 92. Northeast wind 6 to 13 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 93.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 93.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 68.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 93.
