Regarding “Lottery earnings for year will be lower than expected” (News, Dec. 5) and “Let citizens decide if lottery payout plan should change” (Our Views, Dec. 10): The lottery was voted on by the people to benefit education. Any changes should be voted on by the people. To boost ticket sales, make it easier to win! Does one individual need to win $10 million, $20 million or $30 million? Why can't two, four or six people win $5 million each or, even better, why can't five, 10, 20 or 30 people win $1 million each? Change the odds and get more ticket sales, more winners, more money for education. But no changes without a vote of the people!
