Changes needed for Oklahoma's dropout law

High school dropouts earn far less money than graduates, are more likely to end up in poverty and have a head start on the road to prison.

So it's not difficult to see how a decision to drop out is bad for students, the economy and the community. Yet in Oklahoma , we make it easy for students to drop out. All a 16-year-old needs is permission of parents and school officials.

Here's an idea: Just say no. ...
