Six people were accused Friday in criminal charges of drug offenses at the Elm Terrace apartment complex, where three teens accused of a thrill killing often hung out.

Authorities raided the complex Friday morning and made several arrests.

The charges Friday came after a three-month investigation involving a law enforcement informant. Authorities said the informant purchased marijuana and methamphetamine repeatedly at the apartments.

Authorities also were searching Friday at the complex for the gun used in the Aug. 16 drive-by shooting of Christopher Lane, 22, of Melbourne, Australia.

Stephens County District Attorney Jason Hicks confirmed guns were recovered during searches Friday at the complex.

The prosecutor would not discuss what guns were found because of a gag order.

One of the teens told police Lane was shot with a .22-caliber revolver, according to court records.

Chancey Allen Luna, 16, and James Francis Edwards Jr., 15, were charged with first-degree murder. Michael Dewayne Jones, 17, was charged with accessory to first-degree murder after the fact and use of a vehicle in discharge of a weapon. All are from Duncan.
