MEEKER Charles K. Meeker, Sr. "Tuffy", 66, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 15, 2002. "Tuffy" was born in Braggs, OK on February 2, 1936 and had been a longtime resident of Guthrie and Edmond. He was a retired worker for Mistletoe Express and had served many years in the 45th Infantry of the National Guard. "Tuffy" Meeker was known by his friends and relatives as a person who truly loved life. He had a lively personality and was immediately liked by everyone who met him. Those who knew him best have many "Tuffy" stories to tell. He will be sorely missed. Memorial service: 11:00 am. Friday May 17, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church of Guthrie. "Tuffy" was preceded in death by his father, Foster Meeker; mother, Pauline Meeker-Kiespert; and by his step-father, Clarence Kiespert. Survivors: daughter Teresa Biel and husband, Kenny, of Harrah; son Kelly Meeker-Elerick and wife, Angie, of Choctaw; son Charlie Meeker and wife, Melissa of Yukon; daughter Marlo Meeker and Ronnie Crecelius of Cleburne, TX; brother George Meeker and wife, Jarretta, of Oklahoma City; brother Johnnie Meeker and wife, Carlene, of Edmond; sister Bertha Harrison and husband, Don, of Edmond; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a host of other relatives and countless friends, including 2 very dear friends Kay Lewis and Doyle Butler.
