To USA national teams, which are redefining the colors of the flag. The U.S. World Cup team wears navy blue, much like the U.S. track teams have in recent Olympics. Hey, guys, the blue is easy to duplicate. Just check the flag.
To the late NBA starts. The Heat-Mavs games aren't finishing until after 11 p.m., which is after midnight Eastern. That's no way to build a fan base.
To Rice and Cal State-Fullerton, which have won two of the last three College World Series and qualified again this year. The little guys still compete in baseball.
To the Alamo Bowl, which is considering a move to the first week of January, between the New Year's bowls and the new BCS title game. The last week of December is overloaded with bowl games. Spreading them out is a good idea.
