2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/4 cup sour milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup grated apples

1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
