Chef Point Café: Fine dining in a convenience store?

They also have their famous award-winning bread pudding in hot cognac sauce, so be sure to make room for it when you visit.

Prices range from $5 to $20. The cafe also has a lunch menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Franson and Paula are always there, truly committed to the success of this restaurant, and it shows in everything they do.

The wait staff is friendly and very proud of Chef Point Café, and it's a real treat to watch the chef prepare the meals in the open kitchen. Ask for a seat close so you can see all the action.

Twice a week, they serve dishes from different menus. On Sundays, they serve a comfort food menu, with delicious dishes such as meat loaf, chicken and waffles, and pot roast (price range $10.99 to $15.99).

They serve breakfast on Saturday mornings when you can order blueberry pancakes, 12-ounce rib eye steak and eggs, and migas, among other scrumptious items ($3 to $19).

The regular menu for the rest of the week features Italian and American dishes that are simply delicious. You can expect one- to two-hour waits on Friday and Saturday nights, but it is worth it. After eating at Chef Point, you will soon see why everyone is talking about it.
