Raised in Oklahoma City, Triplett is a respected expert on live and recorded music, having interviewed such music industry stars as Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger, and such homegrown talent as Wanda Jackson and Hoyt Axton in his nearly four-decade career. A graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, Triplett was one of the first journalists to regularly cover The Flaming Lips, long before the Oklahoma City band achieved international fame, and is known for bringing a depth of knowledge and experience to his critical reviews. He is the first staffer from The Oklahoman to be inducted into the hall of fame.

Other inductees include the late composer, lyricist and performer Ralph Blane; Nokie Edwards and the late Bob Bogle, both of The Ventures; and multiple Grammy nominee and past Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame Rising Star Award winner Cheevers Toppah. The induction ceremony will include a concert featuring performances by the inductees.

Reserved seats and VIP packages for the concert and induction ceremony will be on pre-sale to members of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame on Sept. 12 through Oct. 3, followed by sales to the public. VIP tickets include an invitation to a VIP reception before the concert and induction ceremony. Sponsorship packages are also available.
