New Chesapeake Energy Corp. CEO Doug Lawler continues to put his stamp on the Oklahoma City oil and natural gas company.

Regulatory filings show Chesapeake has added two former Anadarko Petroleum Corp. executives this month after cutting ties with four longtime executives who had served under co-founder Aubrey McClendon.

Lawler joined Chesapeake in June after 25 years with Anadarko and Kerr-McGee Corp, the Oklahoma City company Anadarko acquired in 2006.

He now has been joined by former Anadarko colleagues Chris Doyle and Jason Pigott. They started at Chesapeake two days after the company fired Steve Dixon, Jeff Fisher, Steve Miller and Martha Burger, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The departing employees were executive vice presidents or higher. Dixon had been Chesapeake's interim CEO after McClendon left the company in April after losing a power struggle with its new board.

Doyle, Anadarko's former vice president of operations, is senior vice president of operations for Chesapeake's northern division, while Pigott is senior vice president of operations for the company's southern division. He had been general manager of Anadarko's team in south Texas' oil-rich Eagle Ford Shale.
