Cheyenne woman dies in crash

Cheyenne woman dies in crash

A Cheyenne woman died Tuesday afternoon in a crash north of town, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. About 4:30 p.m., Avis Cobb, 87, of Cheyenne, was driving north on U.S. 283, about ten miles north of Cheyenne in Roger Mills County, when the pickup left the road, struck a tree and came to rest in a ravine, according to a patrol report. Cobb died at the scene, troopers said. She was wearing a seat belt.
