CHICAGO (AP) — Flight operations have resumed at Chicago's Midway International Airport now that fog and rain has moved off.

A ground stop was imposed at the airport earlier Thursday due to low visibility.

Chicago Aviation Department officials say prior to the shutdown of inbound and outbound service Thursday evening, more than 180 flights at Midway had been cancelled. Currently, flights at Midway are experiencing delays of 30 minutes or more.

At O'Hare International Airport, fog and rain forced the cancellation of more than 420 flights. Flights at O'Hare are experiencing delays of 30 minutes or more.
