This year’s theme is "Our Story Continues,” reflecting the Chickasaw Nation’s history and future, according to a news release.

"Our culture and history come to life for all Chickasaws and our neighbors during the annual meeting and festival,” Anoatubby said.

The State of the Nation address is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 3 at Murray State College’s Fletcher Auditorium in Tishomingo.

Other highlights of the festival will include a Chickasaw traditional meal, Chickasaw Nation Princess Pageant, golf tournament, health fair and rodeo.
