A child died Monday after a pickup hit an electrical pole in Comanche County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 3:50 p.m., a pickup driven by Hannah Lee Igo, 28, of Snyder, was driving eastbound on Cache Road when the pickup left the roadway and hit the pole. The pickup rolled multiple times and a 5-year-old Snyder girl was ejected from the vehicle, troopers said.

The girl died at the scene. Igo and a 10-year-old Snyder girl were injured in the accident. Three other children under the age of 9 were also in the vehicle but were not injured, troopers said. The names of the children were not released.

It is unknown if anyone involved was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
